Why Do Roofing Companies Hire Us?

Roofing companies hire us because we hold the C-43 sheet metal license that most roofers do not, and our C-43 specialist is part of our crew, on the roof, forming each panel on site to an eighth of an inch.

Precision matters because every panel on a roof is a different length. Rooflines run out of square, hips wander and walls are rarely perfectly straight, so a panel cut from a takeoff sheet in a factory has to be forced to fit.

We roll each panel from coil at your home, measure the exact run it covers, and form it to that run. That is the work other roofing contractors bring us in to do, and it is the same crew you get when you hire us directly. See how it works on our on-site roll forming page.

Serving Southern California since 1983. 43 years and over 20,000 roofs.

What Do We Install?

We install standing seam roofs in 22 and 24-gauge steel or .032 and .040 inch aluminum, finished in 70% Kynar 500 PVDF and held down with heavy duty clips, two fasteners each, set 12 inches apart in the field and 9 inches apart at the perimeter.

We never install 26-gauge steel. Aluminum is measured in thousandths of an inch, not gauge, so a quote that lists aluminum by gauge is using the wrong unit.

Kynar 500 holds its color in Southern California sun. The cheaper SMP (silicone modified polyester) finish fades and chalks, which is why we do not use it. Our Kynar vs SMP comparison shows the difference.

The perimeter of a roof takes the strongest wind uplift, so we tighten the clip spacing there.

What Does Our Warranty Cover?

Our 8-year workmanship warranty covers our installation, and we offer it on two brands only: Taylor Metals and Sheffield Metals.

That should tell you something. We put our workmanship warranty behind the metal we stand behind, and nothing else.

The paint finish carries its own manufacturer warranty, separate from our workmanship warranty.

What Licenses Do We Hold?

We hold four California contractor classifications under License 435836: C-39 roofing, C-43 sheet metal, Class B general building and C-10 electrical.

Class B lets us handle the structure and the roof deck, not only the surface. C-10 is full electrical, rather than the solar-only C-46, so electrical work connected to your roof stays with one licensed contractor.

You can look up License 435836 on the Contractors State License Board website at cslb.ca.gov. Our licenses and certifications page covers each classification in detail.

How Do You Get a Price From Us?

You get a price by requesting a free satellite quote: we measure your roof from satellite imagery and email you the quote, with no salesperson and no appointment.

Building new with no roof yet? Upload your plans on the same form and we quote from those.

Your quote covers the complete system: the panels, Polyglass XFR fire-resistant underlayment, concealed clips, flashings formed on site and Vulcan ember-resistant vents.

FAQs

We install metal roofs across Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura and Riverside counties. If your home is in one of those four counties, request a satellite quote and we will price it.

No. We only do metal, and standing seam is our specialty.

We have been serving Southern California since 1983. That is 43 years and over 20,000 roofs.

Choose aluminum if your home is near the ocean, because aluminum will not rust in salt air. Inland, 24-gauge steel is our standard, with 22-gauge available as an upgrade.

Yes. A standing seam roof installed over the right underlayment and deck earns a Class A fire rating, the highest classification there is. Our Class A fire ratings page explains how the full assembly earns it.

Our standing seam roofs run about $14 to $18 per square foot installed, the same for steel and aluminum. Our cost guide breaks down what moves your price within that range.

Yes. You can check your financing offers online from our financing page, separate from your quote request.

Yes. Upload your architectural plans on our quote form and we will price the roof from the plans.

We remove every layer down to the deck. Each additional layer adds about $5 per square foot to remove, and any deck repair is priced once the old roof is off, because the deck cannot be inspected until then.

Most California HOAs permit metal roofing once you submit an architectural review application. We supply the manufacturer spec sheets and color samples your board asks for, and our HOA approval guide walks through the process.

Call (310) 647-7192 or email [email protected]. Our office is at 22704 Ventura Blvd, Woodland Hills, CA 91364.
