Metal Roof Cost Calculator
Get a realistic ballpark estimate for a standing seam metal roof in seconds. Our calculator uses real Southern California pricing to generate an instant estimate, then you can request a free satellite quote for the exact number. The estimate already includes everything needed for a complete roof except the roof deck, which is quoted separately because its condition cannot be confirmed until the existing roof is removed.
How Does the Metal Roof Cost Calculator Work?
Enter your home\'s approximate square footage, the number of stories, and your roof pitch. The calculator estimates your roof\'s surface area and applies our actual Southern California standing seam pricing to produce an instant price range.
The calculator is designed to give you a realistic starting point before requesting a detailed quote.
It uses the same pricing we use throughout Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, and Riverside counties, including the standard installed price for a standing seam roof.
The estimate assumes a complete roofing system using our standard specifications. If you choose 22-gauge steel, premium colors or finishes, or your roof requires additional work beyond the standard scope, those items can affect the final price.

What Does the Price Include?
The calculator estimates the price of a complete standing seam metal roofing system. It includes materials and labor, 24-gauge steel or coastal aluminum, Kynar 500 finish, premium high-temperature underlayment, ice-and-water shield, heavy-duty concealed clips, hand-fabricated flashings, on-site panel forming, tear-off of one existing roof layer, and our 8-year workmanship warranty.
The installed price is the same for 24-gauge steel and coastal aluminum, both $14 to $18 per square foot. You choose aluminum for better performance in coastal salt-air environments, not because it costs more.
The only item not included is roof-deck repair or replacement because the deck cannot be inspected until the existing roof has been removed. If your home has more than one existing roof layer, removing each additional layer adds about $5 per square foot.

Why Is the Estimate a Price Range?
The calculator provides a price range because some homeowners choose optional upgrades that affect the final cost. The two most common are 22-gauge steel, which adds about $2 per square foot, and premium colors or finishes, which also add about $2 per square foot.
Most homeowners stay within the calculator\'s estimated range.
Your exact price is confirmed with a free satellite measurement that accounts for your home\'s roof layout, complexity, and any options you select.
